Procurement team Vehicle motion and Climate is responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to new projects and running production for all Volvo Car Corporations manufacturing plants. Vehicle motion and Climate purchasing team is working with some of the systems that makes a difference in a Volvo.

What you'll do
As a Senior Buyer you are responsible for setting long-term sourcing strategies, managing your supplier portfolio, finding potentials/ideas, building business cases and performing yearly negotiations.
Your other main tasks will be to work with Cost Reductions, Risk Management, Capacity Assurance, Raw material and Negotiations.
We expect you to be the expert of your own business areas and together with a global team of buyers in EU, US and CN, handle questions related to sustainability, cost, global footprints, new technologies etc.
You and your skills
You have a commercial or technical degree or equivalent and min. 3 years ' relevant experience.
You possess excellent negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Preferably you have automotive experience. If you worked either within sales or procurement within the Automotive Industry it will be highly valued during the recruitment process.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have Computer skills, MS Office and especially PowerPoint.
