Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Indirect Purchasing (IDP) is responsible for purchasing of indirect material & services and the Facility Purchasing team focus on purchasing of Construction, Rent, Utilities and Facility management.
The Facility spend at Volvo Car Group has increased during the last year in line with Volvo Cars high goals of launching a brand new product portfolio of both cars and engines and we now need to strengthen our team with a Senior Buyer to secure all new challenges for the future. We work closely with our stakeholders at Facility Management, Research & Development and Manufacturing in order to find the best solution for Volvo Car Group.
Main responsibilities
* Lead sourcing projects including setting sourcing strategies, conducting request for quotations and negotiate commercial and legal agreements
* Reduce total cost of ownership
* Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
* Challenge status quo
* Facilitate sourcing specification documentation
* Ensure purchasing processes are followed and enhanced
Required qualifications
* University degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or Business
* Ability to work co-operatively in teams and to independently drive and complete tasks
* Purchasing experience preferable within the Facility Management area
* Fluent in English and Swedish (written and spoken)
