The department 's main objective is to provide services to support the management, such as Enterprise Data Warehouse, Master Data Management and Big Data/Data Discovery Platform, to provide Business Insights and Intelligence via analytics and visualisation.
The service offerings work on a global delivery model with local control as per the business needs. Service requests come from both the business and other IT departments, as new development initiatives as well as enhancements & change requests within ongoing deliveries.
This to support the already residing critical information assets as well as new data being set-up/added in existing solutions and onwards in New Development projects.
The Business Intelligence (BI) consultant is responsible for building, implementing and supporting BI solutions. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of BI SDLC (requirements and logical design, physical design, implementation, testing and deployment).
Main responsibilities
The focus and responsibilities will be to support existing systems and develop within new projects to deliver sustainable and maintainable solutions.
Required Skills:
The BI Developer should understand and have expertise in the various technologies needed to implement BI solutions. The developer must have experience with the Microsoft BI stack and exposure to other technologies is a plus (e.g. RDBMS, Tableau)
• Proven expertise in large scale BI platforms
• In-depth knowledge of at least one of the industry leading BI tools (Tableau / Power BI)
• In-depth knowledge of working with SQL Server and SQL language
• Analytical and problem-solving aptitude
• Understanding of Data Warehouse / Solution Design
• Dimensional Modelling (Kimball Methodology)
• Report and Dashboard Development (SSRS, Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
• Design, build, maintain and deploy BI solutions
• Experience with development and design of SSAS Multidimensional and Tabular models
• Collaborate with teams
• Develop and update technical documentation around the BI Solutions /reports
• Experience and understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
• Translate business specifications into technical BI specifications.
• Language skills: Swedish and English
• 5 + years Business Intelligence experience
Desired Skills:
• BA/BS degree in computer science, information technology or related field
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
• Good understanding of an international company's requirements and business processes
• Experience in conducting unit testing (desirable)
