What's in it for you?
We are committed to develop the future digital solutions needed to manage software configurations through the complete lifecycle of all our new cars. Within Research & Development, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to complete our team of developers leading our SW development processes.
You focus will be to analyse, and break-down business dependencies and create smart and nimble improvements to support our and improve our organization's ability to manage software in our cars, and this is where we think you really excel! Good to know is that you also will provide input for the implementation both in writing and as mock-ups for the User Interface.
You will also work in close collaboration with different stakeholders and other cross-functional product teams, giving you an opportunity to share your knowledge and ideas of improvements in a larger context. Research and Development is a fast-moving development area, and we think you love working for change and with change.
You and your skills
Key qualifications for this position include:
* BSc or higher degree in engineering, computer Science or similar field of knowledge relevant for this position.
* 3-5 years of background from consulting, automotive, telecom or other high growth organizations with operational experience in a quantitative or analytical role.
* Solid skills in written and spoken English
* Great presentation skills in Power Bi/Powerpoint or similar tools
* Strong communication skills as you will be holding workshops and presentations both for technical specialist and people without technical knowledge.
On a personal level, we are looking for a Business Analyst with an agile mindset and relentless improvement passion. You can understand customer/end user needs and convey them into backlog items that enables the team delivery. You are an efficient networker, used to illustrate information to others, and to create a mutual understanding and alignment for the team. You are comfortable collaborating and communicating with people on different levels of the organization as well as with different backgrounds. Capability to define the business value of the product area and surrounding value streams is important, along with collaboration, facilitation, and delegation skills to involve and engage stakeholders and team members to create ownership and gain results. We are looking for a great spirit that will bring in new ideas and competence to our team.
Management of Software applications in the car is a crucial challenge for us, and any experience in this field is meritorious. Previous experiences from Software development or digital solution design will be appreciated. Since all development is based on agile methodology, in the context of the SAFe framework, these experiences are also meritorious.
And at last, if you have been in contact with applications used in the Volvo processes like KDP or Teamcenter this will add to your list of merits.

You will be working in a hybrid setting both at our headquarters in Torslanda, Gothenburg, Sweden and from a place you choose.
