Senior BIM Manager
As Sr BIM Manager, you will join the Construction & Engineering organization of the H2GS Boden Project, which is responsible to steer and secure the delivery of the Boden project together with several large EPCM contractors.
In your role as Sr BIM Manager, you will be responsible to define the strategy for BIM and develop standards and procedures for the management and supervision of activities related to information modelling. You will work with many workstreams to enable for oversight of the master federated model, coordination of model and quality review, and ensuring incorporation of required model modifications to secure as-built depictions.
In joining us you will play a key role from the very start, ensuring that the H2GS Boden Project uses a structured approach to information modelling, enabling for modern Asset Management and Digital Twin applications for operation. Given the enormous scale and complexity of the project and the massive volumes of equipment, this role comes with a lot of exciting BIM-related challenges.
The H2GS Boden Project consists of:
• 760 MW H2 production facility consisting of several types of hydrogen production technologies
• 2.1MM MT DRI Production Facility
• 2.5MM MT Steelmaking and CSP Facility
• Various Cold Finishing Facilities
• Plant Power Distribution Grid
• Plant Infrastructure and Water Systems
Responsibilities
• To deliver the H2GS Boden Project virtually using models and metadata prior to construction, and to secure as-built depictions for the operations phase.
• To deliver BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure clear objectives and a consolidated approach for contracted parties to deliver and evolve a frequently updated 5D BIM model of the H2GS Boden Project - 3D models with objects connected to assets, activities, documentation and quantity takeoff - throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• To produce a federated model for the H2GS Boden Project and enable for information and document management, model coordination, clash detection and interface management.
• To evolve and own the H2GS BIM Strategy to stay in the forefront of the industry and secure a modern and mature BIM platform for the H2GS Boden Project as well as future projects.
Qualifications
• Developing Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Managing digital Asset Information Models.
• BIM coordination and / or design management of object-oriented 3D design of complex industrial plants.
• Digital information requirements and coordination
• Virtual Design and Construction (VDC).
• 5D information processes - sequencing and estimating information and quantity take offs in object-oriented 3D models.
• Experience with relevant software: - Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar CDE solutions
• Aveva E3D / SP3D or similar industrial 3D design solutions
• Asset Information Management solutions
• Experience with relevant industry standards: - ISO 19650
• ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288
• ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148
• ISO/IEC 81346
• ISO 15926
Interpersonal skills
• Flexible and creative problem solver, with a good understanding of the importance of structure and communication.
• Very strong ability to prioritize, reach common goals within timeframes and work effectively in a complex multi-team environment.
• Advanced ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal and external entities.
