Beyond mastery of design, and BIM Experience, the ideal candidate will be a high-performance designer who possess strong communication skills with both Korean and Arab culture as well as the ability to work within multiple platforms and understand a holistic approach to design.
The BIM Designer will develop design concepts through to detail designs, including participating in the production of construction documentation.
Duties
The role of BIM Designer requires an experienced professional ready to take the lead role in our high rise residential complex and hospitality projects design with a command of complex technical issues, capable of directing project teams and leading communications with both our Korean and Arab client and consultant at the most senior level. As the successful candidate your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models
• Incorporate BIM as part of a service offered to the design community
• Coordinates BIM development, standards, data requirements, etc. as required by company standards and project requirement
• Overall responsibility for the development of the design/coordination BIM model and BIM modeling guidelines
• Develop and implement BIM workflow and communicate the benefits of BIM as a technology and process
• BIM modeling and content creation using Revit as the primary platform
• Ensure documents accuracy based in BIM modeling
• Support each project team by managing and creating content library files and templates, creating and enforcing standards and evaluating project models
• Acts as the main point of contact for BIM technology and any related issues between the construction managers, subcontractors, owners, design team, and others as required
• Manage engineering CAD/BIM content libraries
• Interpret Architectural and Structural drawings and details for developing models in Revit
• Responsible for the overall relationship with clients, and monitors client satisfaction
• Responsible for supporting successful project delivery for all phases of Architectural Design including Concept, Design Development, Design Intent and Final Implementation
• Requires knowledge of architectural standards and practices, compatible software, and construction materials and methods
Capabilities and Credentials
The successful candidate will possess:
• Architectural degree from university in related defield, A Master's degree is preferable.
• +15 years of professional experience in architectural Design in variety of high-rise residential, hospitality and mixed use commercial buildings compliance with Korean and Qatari's codes and regulations.
• Minimum of 8 years in Revit Architectural.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proactive, organized, accurate, and comfortable collaborating with other departments.
• Preparation of designs, quantity calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
• Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes.
• Develop 2D/3D conceptual designs in Revit, with 3D modeling skills.
• Develop renderings, animations and VR for design presentation.
• Coordinating design efforts with international multi-discipline team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage several projects at the same time.
• Superior working knowledge of Revit, strong knowledge of AutoCAD, and a skilled user of digital technology tools.
• Fluency in the 2D and 3D space.
• Ability to understand and implement the use of formulas to drive parametric values.
• May maintain primary contact with client, have excellent follow-through with client and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Ability to market project capability through client interviews, public presentations, and professional publications.
• Actively work to cultivate new clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
