As a Solution Designer / Senior BI Developer you will have an important role in capturing the potential that data can empower Vattenfall. You will design solutions and safeguard that the solutions are in line with the overall architecture.
Your responsibilities will mainly relate to cloud services as Vattenfall use Microsoft Azure as a cloud platform. The technology develops rapidly and continuous learning will be key to make sure to use technology in the best way. Business Intelligence and analytics is a strategic area for Vattenfall with high priority and there will be good opportunities to develop in your profession.
This role work closely with our business partners which consist of all business units in Vattenfall that have a customer relation. Will you help them getting better insight in our customers' demands?

Your responsibilities:
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end data and analytics solution
• You are keen on automation using Continuous Integration/Delivery tooling
• Bridge between IT Architecture and agile scrum teams in customer IT area.
• Develop technical design in strategic analytics projects.
• Design solutions in align with group IT and business principles and guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams.
• You have a hands-on mentality to solve complex issues
• Learning new tools and software development skills is your second nature
• Enable business more data driven and leverage IT cloud platforms
• Explore emerging technologies to prepare for the future.
• You have an Agile mindset and SCRUM way of working
About you and your skills:
You are a positive challenger, looking for solutions, flexible and likes to see results. You have a strong personality and like to collaborate with others, as well as work more individually. We believe that you recognize yourself and have understanding in some of the following skills:
• Proven experience delivering IT application development using data and analytics solutions (preferably cloud/ Microsoft Azure)
• Demonstrated experience of turning business use case and requirements to technical solutions.
• Preferably understanding of the value propositions associated with Data using PaaS ,SaaS and DevOps methodologies.
• Preferably hands on experience in Microsoft Azure Data lake, SQL database and data warehouse solutions or equivalent expertise in other cloud technologies.
• Solid development experience in ELT/ETL data integration ,database modeling, architecture, design, and implementation
• Preferably experience in designing Modern Data Platforms and solutions incorporating BI and Advanced Analytics.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as code fundamentals.
• Strong interest in bringing data science solutions to life together with data scientists (e.g. using Python,SQL or R)
• Collaborate to ensure Security, Privacy, Transparency, and Disaster Recovery are compliant in cloud environment
• Bachelor or master degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Self-motivated and interested in researching and experimenting new technologies.
• Proficient in spoken and written English, Swedish is beneficial
