Sol Voltaics improves the efficiency of energy capture, generation and storage using miniscule amounts of nanomaterials. We are a fast-growing company developing a high volume production technology called Aerotaxy. Our nanowire solar cell technology improves efficiency of solar cells, contributing to a sustainable energy world.
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
The Senior Automation Engineer will work within the Engineering Team, providing skill, knowledge and drive to automate equipment that improve the user experience of the current and future Aerotaxy systems.
The main tasks will be to provide solutions that increase the overall level of automation of the Aerotaxy tool. The successful candidate will be able to use their experience and knowledge to identify opportunities and propose solutions in response to internal customer requests.
Having understood the technical requirements of a component or system, you will initiate and manage projects to deliver bespoke hardware, software and other equipment on time and within budget. In achieving this you will need to organize internal and external resources, develop a reliable supply base and keep up to date tool documentation related to your work.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Preferably you will have a Master's degree or equivalent relevant to automation of industrial systems, but more importantly you will have a minimum 5-10 year's experience working with automation and development of industrial scale systems. Knowledge and hands-on experience in basic machining / manufacturing is preferable.
You should have experience in PLC programming and software development (LabVIEW, Java or C#). Experience with actuator / motor control, PID control for, e.g., a furnace, would be desirable. Familiarity with integration of semi-conductor production tools and equipment will be an advantage (MOCVD or similar).
You will need to be able to interpret complex engineering drawings as well as guide our designers in how to create suitable drawings to assist your projects. You will use your experience in advanced automation to act as an internal consultant to the team, participating in development projects with a close eye on ?design for automation and manufacture? through all phases of the projects.
You are a self-motivated driver who likes to take ownership and can be relied on to see projects delivered on time. You are excited about being part of a high energy start-up and are prepared to help out with tasks that lie outside of your usual responsibility area when needed. The day-to-day work is in Lund, Sweden, but the position may require some travel.
You will report to the Engineering Manager helping to plan budgets, manage costs and risks to meet aggressive milestones.
