Presentation
Poolia, on behalf of Unibet, is looking for a senior application technician. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, building and managing the company's application service. The technical environment is very complex and highly transaction intensive and based on a Java-solution with application servers like Glassfish, JBoss, Tomcat or similar.
The chosen softwares are usually based on open source technology, for example Linux (Redhat, Debian, Ubunto), but there are also some commercial softwares like Solaris and Oracle BEA in the environment. The right person will be part of building a high availability infrastructure.
Publiceringsdatum2010-03-24Dina arbetsuppgifterYour tasks will be focusing in the building and managing of Unibet complex Java application operation. The tasks vary widely, from design and architecture at application level to the daily operation of the technological environment. You will work closely with system developers, directly in the Scrum teams, and together with them discuss and evaluate how Unibet best could meet the requirements contained in the technical environment.
You will also be responsible for installations of new softwares as well as patching the existing ones. It could mean writing scripts in Python, Groovy or similar as well as frequent use of bash scripting. Examples of other tasks included in the role could be:
• capacity and availability planning
• developing new and fine tune existing configurations
• trouble shooting, 3rd-line support
• support to the architect group
• application deployment
• documentation.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We prefer that you have an academic education, but value formal knowledge in relevant technical area more. You have at least 4-7 years experience as an application administrator with applications servers (for example Glassfish, JBoss and similar).
We would also like to see that you have at least 3 years experience from architecture and project management. In addition to your deep knowledge and experience in Java applications server solutions, we assume that you have a substantial knowledge of and experience from working with Linux. It is also a plus if you have experience and knowledge of Single Side-on systems (SSO:s), Terracotta and Load balancers. Since you will be in frequent contact with the Java technology and scripting languages (Python, Groovy), databases and firewalls/network technology, we value highly if you have good knowledge in these areas.
