Consumer Application IT Services is part of the function Consumer IT services, reporting to Volvo Car Group CIO. Consumer IT Services was established to make a paradigm shift in how IT is delivering proactive End to End IT services in the scope of Connected Car and Consumers to ensure optimal consumer experience. In the function we are outlining the long term direction for Consumer IT Services and drive business development through innovative IT as well as managing new and running services through know how, development, maintenance and support. As individuals and as a team we are accountable for working according to the guiding principles; act proactive and professional, strive for speed and quality in deliverables, build close business interaction and understanding.
Consumer Application IT Services is responsible for running development, operation and maintenance globally for Consumer facing applications such as volvocars.com, MyVolvo, Volvo Buying Service and more. The Consumer Application IT Service consists of one dedicated team providing services to several business units within Volvo Cars. Systems in the portfolio are mainly accessible from the internet. The team operates the application portfolio and projects in close cooperation with IT Suppliers, Digital Agencies and MSS Global Marketing department within Volvo Cars Group (One Team One Dream).
As Senior IT Application Manager for Consumer Application IT Service you will be a partner in the utilization of the Marketing platform vision to create a personalized, engaging and uncomplicated one customer experience as part of the Volvo Car Group digital leadership journey.
Main responsibilities
• Lead and drive activities to manage suppliers crucial for Consumer Application IT operation
• Responsible for Application Maintenance, Support, Operation and Development
• Implement the needs from stakeholders
• Continuously improve customer satisfaction and communication
• Lead the operations of the application to secure global operation
• Handle issues in the National Sales Companies' with sense of urgency at all times
• Make sure that the service impacts the National Sales Companiesin a sufficient way
• Follow up on budget
Required qualifications
• University degree in relevant field
• Documented IT experience
• Experience from building and/or operating large (high volume) web sites
• Knowledge about Content Delivery Networks, Site acceleration techniques, knowledge about Global Internet Site Performance and web application architecture
• General knowledge from Content Management Systems (Sitecore Optional)
• General knowledge of techniques used for public facing websites
• General knowledge of Web as marketing Channel
• Competence in global web presence
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of Service operations
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Experience from working with digital agencies is meritorious
• Experience from agile development is meritorious
• Experience from DevOps is meritorious
