The Senior Application Consultant is a key role in contributing to the growth of business within the region, providing the essential post-sales product support, training, consultancy, and implementation for AVEVA applications.
The job holder is accountable for delivery of professional services to customers, either internally or externally, and may be required to travel at short notice as a representative of the company wherever necessary to deliver services.
Principal Accountabilities
• Providing the first line product support as required for customers in the region, under minimal guidance;
• Addressing and resolving customer 's complaints or technical issues;
• Providing high quality specialist product training in both AVEVA training centers and at customer locations;
• Delivering excellent, professional and knowledgeable deployment and configuration services to AVEVA's customers;
• Working with technical team members and technical managers to ensure support in developing scopes of work and proposals for consulting and customization services;
• Developing technical skills within their primary domain and into other AVEVA product areas to assist in the growth of the technical team in the region;
• Providing industry specific consultancy, based upon related experiences to aid other members of the team to achieve successful product positioning;
• Coaching and mentoring junior employees or new recruits;
• Providing pre-sales support as required by line management.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
• Strong customer service skills and ability of solving customer 's issues and complaints with little direction or guidance
• The ability to manage and handle multiple commitments simultaneously
• Willingness to travel extensively (potentially worldwide) to perform consultancy tasks
• In addition, knowledge in programming would be beneficial, exposure to PML and/or C# would is an advantage
• Proven 4 years or more experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies
• Proven 7 years or more knowledge of engineering, design, procurement or construction within the plant industry from either an owner-operator or an engineering contractor background
