About the position
Massive is looking for a senior animator for our cinematic team. In this position you will be working with a small animation team with big responsibilities, working mainly on in game cut-scenes. Taking care of character animation, faces, cameras, creatures and other objects demands not only determination but also broad skills. The project is a very ambitious title, and we aim to reflect that ambition in all aspects, including animation. Ubisoft has a strong animation culture within the group; we are looking for someone that can personify this tradition and carry it onward towards the future of gaming.
You as a candidate
As a senor animator you are expected to have a great eye for detail and motion. You are expected to understand the animation direction for the game and translate that into the in game cut-scenes. You are a skilled communicator across disciplines and you can clearly articulate your ideas. You are a skilled animator, with successful projects in your resume. Your passionate in your profession makes you take great pride in the quality of your work.
Experience
• A minimum of 6 years experience working with game animations
• Experience with main character animation
• Good knowledge of a motion capture and a performance capture process
• Strong experience in both motion captured based animation and key-frame animation
• Experience from game engines
• Experience in Motionbuilder
