About the role
Your tasks as a senior Android developer of Kisi will be a lot of things, but never dull. Your core mission is to build and evolve a highly robust and usable Android app for accessing and managing physical sites.
100% focus on user experience by keeping error rates low and bugs squashed
Implement new features and help define and tackle projects big and small
Collaborate with our web, backend and hardware teams
Design and maintain our Bluetooth and NFC drivers used with our readers
Work on improving security and performance of our app
Work on internal tooling for logging, error reporting, releasing, testing etc.
Requirements
Rock solid experience with Java and Kotlin and relevant Android frameworks
Rock solid experience with the Android Bluetooth API and NFC APIs
Solid experience with iOS is a plus to support cross-platform code reviews
You have released to the app store before to serve a sizeable install base
You are well versed in writing good code: clean, modular, tested, scalable
Experience building and supporting CI/CD workflows for testing and releasing apps
High level of communication and teamwork skills
Strong command of the English language
