Senior Analysis/Test Engineer - Electrical Performance

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. As SENIOR ANALYSIS ENGINEER within the group Electrical Performance you will work together with highly competent and experienced technical specialists and attribute leaders. The group is included in section Electrical System Attributes at department Electrical and Electronics System Engineering. The attribute area Electrical Performance is responsible for requirements put on the vehicle electrical system design with respect to safety and reliability of the system. Our group is characterised by a high team spirit and collaborative environment. You will have excellent opportunities to share the massive experience and competence within the area and to develop further together with the group. To support attribute leaders to phrase correct and relevant requirements there is a team in the group performing analysis and tests. To this team we are currently looking for a Senior Analysis/Test Engineer.

Job profile:

• Develop analysis and test methods to support work within the attribute area
• Plan and organise test activities in the group
• Perform analysis/tests on complete vehicle level to verify requirements related to the attribute area
• Perform related benchmarking, analysis/tests on competitor cars
• Perform analysis/tests initiated by quality issues or projects
• Communicate analysis/test reports, to provide recommendations and to initiate issues in quality issue tracking system

Your profile:

• University degree within electronics or similar, or equivalent working experience
• Multiple years of professional experience from testing of electrical systems for vehicles
• Experience from performing tests/measurements using analogues and digital measurement tools
• Experience from using diagnostic and communication tool via CAN, LIN, FlexRay etc.
• Knowledge or experience from environmental testing of vehicle components, e.g. ISO 16750 is meritorious
• Experience from working with high voltage systems for electrical and hybrid vehicles is meritorious
• A positive attitude and high team working skills
• Driven and makes things happen
• An analytic mind but are also "hands on" with a practical approach
• Ability to summarise and report deliveries to internal and external stakeholders
• Good knowledge in English spoken and written
• Drivers license (B) is required
