Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we're expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we're on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars' journey into the future.
What do we offer?
The Soundpack team is a part of the Personal Centre within Research & Development at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. The Personal Centre supports the strategic direction of "Freedom to move in a Personal, Sustainable & Safe way". We organise competence in dynamic attributes such as vehicle dynamics, brake attributes, performance & drivability, road noise, wind noise, solidity, operational sound quality, audio & ANC performance, interactive sound design and trimmed body acoustics & dynamics. In close collaboration with the stakeholders we take responsibility for a personal experience for our end users. The Soundpack team is responsible for air borne noise and you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the area together with your colleagues.
What you'll do
As a Senior Analysis NVH Engineer within the Soundpack team, you will work with product development at concept phases, industrialisation phases and support quality issues. This will give you a broad insight in the whole life cycle of our vehicles. You will perform both complete vehicle tests and lab tests, but also work closely with stakeholders to set and verify requirements.
Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have at least a M.Sc. in engineering and solid NVH experience, as well as experience in Head, PAK, LMS or other NVH measurement systems. You have a proven track record in complete vehicle engineering and attribute development. Furthermore, you understand the value of combining test results and CAE methods and you secure the transfer of knowledge. Finally, you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
On a personal level, you are a team player, and you communicate effectively. You are inquisitive while you have clear self-leadership and a customer focus mind-set. You have a true passion for NVH and a genuine interest for driving development within the area.
