About us @Sustainability Centre
Sustainability is one of the three pillars of our company purpose, freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way, and is now as important to us as safety has been since the birth of our company. Sustainability is also a demand from our key markets, they are implementing legislation, taxation and incentives in order to ensure that the automotive industry delivers improved Fuel Economy and RANGE. Therefore, the business impact of the attribute area Vehicle Energy Efficiency increase strongly.
At Vehicle Energy Efficiency we are responsible for strategies, requirements, competence- and process development to meet future RANGE and CO2 challenges. We are about 50 engaged engineers within the attribute, working cross P&Q - from energy need to energy sources.
Our offer

Then the role as Senior Analysis Engineer in our agile Road Load team is the place for you to prosper. Together you will ensure that our vehicles are legal and competitive regarding energy efficiency.
Your role
You will be responsible for the strategic plan for overall road load activities. You will analyse, calculate and report road loads in vehicle projects at Volvo Wind Tunnel among others and be responsible for coast down activities and expeditions to Arizona proving ground (APG) for example. You will also deliver Road Load Curves to emission testing in laboratory for verification of Fuel Economy and Emissions.
In this role you will have a close collaboration with the Regulatory and Homologation department and work with implementation of new legislations for different markets, such as WLTP introduction in China. You will also collaborate with authority agents, regulatory and certification engineers as well as workshop staff, you will really get the chance to meet and integrate with people on different levels.
Competence is important
We see that you have a M.Sc or B.Sc in engineering subjects, such as mechanical or electrical engineering and we think that you will need experience within analytical and statistical problems. You enjoy working with cars and computers, you have a genuine interest in the physics and mechanics of a car, you possess a Driver's license B. You understand how cars are structured; you have a good understanding of vehicle systems, such as powertrain, transmission and aerodynamics.

You enjoy being in a global fast-past environment and want to contribute to the aim of a more sustainable future. You take ownership, keep structure and deliver quality down to the level of detail both independently as well as the lead of a team.
You appreciate being part of a team and keeping focus on solving problems together. To share knowledge is a core value for you. In order for you to fully success you need to be a great communicator, comfortable presenting and with an eye for details.
