The focus for the NVH Operations is to develop cars fulfilling both customer demands and legalrequirements. By organising and developing core competence, advanced methods regarding sub system and overall vehicle level NVH and sound quality, our work support the programs in delivering premium products. The continuous strategy work leading to vehicle level target setting, and furthermore cascaded system level targets is the base for the operations. This is the input to system and component design, all the way supported by CAE and test based analysis, finally verified in full prototypes and followed up in production. NVH section Attribute Lead and Quality have three areas of responsibility. Attribute Leaders are the Project managers within NVH and are also responsible for the overall project NVH deliveries. The Quality team secure that in cycle products fulfil NVH requirements and guides the quality organisation in NVH matters and the Pass-by noise team secures our vehicles legal compliances.
As Senior Analysis Engineer Pass-by Noise you will lead the departments work within the legal requirement area. This means understanding the different requirements from different countries, as well as understanding the needs for Volvo Cars products in order to fulfil these requirements. Developing and improving the working ways both internally and against the homologation authorities is also an important area of responsibility.
Main responsibilities:
* Set up short term and long term team goals
* Analyse project portfolio with respect to legal requirements
* Participate in pass-by and other legal requirement measurements
* Lead the improvement/kaizen work of methods and guidelines
* Analyse the project content with respect to certification and conformity of production (COP) need
* Participate in implementation of solutions in the vehicle/engine/driveline
Required qualifications
* Minimum M.Sc. Engineer or equivalent work experience
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* NVH work experience, preferably from exterior noise of vehicles
* Knowledge in Müller-BBM PAK, B&K Pulse and MS Office is an advantage
