About Us
We are looking for an experienced engineer within the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) who can, together with our experienced team, assist in the transformation to future technologies and solutions. The EMC department is a part of Software and Electronics Platform within Volvo Cars ' Product & Quality (P&Q) division. Currently we are a team of 20 people and are responsible for EMC in design guidelines, requirements, analysis, simulations and tests on component level as well as on complete cars. Working with EMC means that you establish and develop relationships with designers within almost all system areas of the vehicle, as well as building an understanding of the designs in those areas. The electrical content in a vehicle is rapidly growing both for propulsion and realization of functions. At the same time, the developments of automated vehicles require new ways of working with EMC.

As a Senior Analysis Engineer within EMC, you will build and maintain a wide network within Volvo Cars as well as with external partners. You will have a place where you can form your deliveries and develop your own skills. As a part of our team, you get access to long-term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing area. We are looking for an EMC-engineer with the main task to work with our partly or fully electrified drivelines. You will also assist in building the competencies needed within Volvo Cars to enable an effective EMC development process for the future.
You will
• mainly work with our partly or fully electric drivelines including chargers and charging cables.
• participate in project meetings together with the developing areas to secure a proper EMC performance.
• assist in testing on component-, system- and on complete vehicle level
• report test results to the developing areas
• be a part of the development of test methods and test setups on component, system and complete vehicle level
• participate in balancing the product to achieve the very best results
• participate in Advanced Engineering and Research projects within the area
Are you our new team member?
We see our next EMC engineer as not only being competent, confident, and persevering but also having:
• University degree in electronics, physics, computational electromagnetics or other relevant area or equivalent experience
• Documented experience in the development of electric drivelines
• Experience of the automotive industry or other electrical technologies
• Demonstrated capabilities and willingness to develop/teach/coach/mentor
• Good communication skills and presentation techniques
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Documented experience in the development of high frequency circuits or power circuits is advantageous
