YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As Senior Accountant for the DACH region you will be working cross-functionally with people from all over Europe and play a vital role to ensure that the financial results are reported accurately, timely and in compliance with local regulations. This will include:
• Working together with the wider Finance Team to make sure the organisation's financial records are accurate and compliant
• Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement efficient and compliant accounting processes and effective controls
• Managing the accounting of relevant business transactions for several legal entities
• Prepare month end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT- and payroll reconciliations
• Support statutory audit processes
• Implementing best practices and working closely with our other departments in ensuring that our financial accounting systems are serving the needs of the organisation
• Stay on top of existing and upcoming local financial regulations
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
We are looking for a result oriented, highly organised finance expert with a can-do attitude who sees every challenge as an opportunity to grow and improve on current ways-of-working. In addition to being fluent in English and German we believe the right person has:
• University degree in Business administration, Finance or Economics, or equivalent education in business economics or accounting including certification as chartered accountant (Ausbildung im Bereich Finanzbuchhaltung mit Weiterbildung zum Bilanzbuchhalter)
• +4 years of experience from independently working with accounting and month-end closing tasks
• Knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Experience from a start-up or a fast-growing company in an international setting is a plus
