POC is currently looking for a result-oriented, highly organized Senior Accountant with a can-do attitude who sees every challenge as an opportunity to grow and improve on current ways-of-working. What does a day at the company look like?
• The overall responsibility for POC Sweden AB and POCHOLD II AB, ensuring that the accounts meet the appropriate legal and corporate standards.
• Postings of manual journals in the general ledger.
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Lead the month-end and year-end close for the companies POC SWEDEN AB and POCHOLD II AB.
• Produce accurately reconciled BS and P&L statements.
• Continuously evaluate and seek to improve current processes.
• Ensure correct VAT accounting (Swedish as well as EU & international VAT).
• Together with payroll partners for branches in UK and Norway, assuring that salaries and taxes are timely paid.
• Work closely with the finance team and be able to provide support and act as a stakeholder versus A/P and A/R, but also versus the rest of the organization.
• Prepare various reports related to month- and year-end such as input for group cash flows and aged customers and creditors analysis.
• Various ad hoc tasks.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
Who are you?
You have previous retail experience and solid knowledge in accounting and international VAT, is self-going, organized and solution-oriented with an understanding of the importance of meeting reporting deadlines. Of high importance is the ability to collaborate with colleagues on different levels within the organization. In addition the ideal candidate should have good knowledge in Excel and working in the Microsoft Office environment and experience from larger ERP systems.
The candidate will join a finance team in Stockholm, with support from Office managers in Stockholm and Salzburg, Customer service in Australia and colleagues in a finance team in the US. You will be reporting to the Team Leader Operational Finance.
