As the segment leader for Charging & Power Management, you will have a strategic role in the purchasing team and be at the heart of the transformation journey together with all the different stakeholders. Charging & Power Management is an exciting area where you will work with great colleagues in an environment where you will rapidly develop yourself. The segment consists of components at the heart of our vehicles power distribution to enable the charging function such as charging modules and control unit, inlets, contactors, fuses, and resistors. As Segment Leader you will have the opportunity to shape the strategy of this area to secure the best charging experience to our customers.
What will you work with as a Global Segment Leader for Charging & Power Management?
You will, as a key member of the purchasing team develop and implement the strategy in strong collaboration with the global buyer network as well as the cross functional colleagues. That means e.g.:
Drive and own the purchasing segment strategy and lead the implementation in strong collaboration with the global purchasing team
Build and maintain the expertise and strategic understanding of the scope : e.g., identifying micro and macro trends, market development and benchmark, competition, new technologies, new business models, impact on total cost of ownership, sustainability etc.
Define and enable activities required to excel the competitive advantage in the full QDCF-TSR (quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability & risk): e.g., enable and build partnerships, sustainability activities and total cost optimization
Enable the way of working in the full ecosystem, including upstream and downstream supply chain, to enable the Volvo Group strategy
Ensure strong and efficient collaboration with a large internal and external network and work in close collaboration with the cross functional colleagues
Work in accordance with Volvo Group's defined Values (Customer Success, Trust, Passion, Change, Performance)

You are driven, responsible and accountable for your deliveries
You are a purchasing professional with excellent business acumen and preferable within the area of automotive
You have an adequate academic education
