Join us and contribute to the success of Volvo Group.Our offer to youSegment Leader/Commodity Buyer for Power Cylinder Unit (PCU) is highly exposed and visible position within Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing.You will be part of Base Engine Department.You will interact with different Volvo entities globally and your contribution is key to secure Volvo needs for the Brands.You will have a global purchasing responsibility to focus on areas such as: defining the segment strategy and ways of working with the different internal stakeholders, optimizing the supplier base, securing competitive and quality secured agreements, developing best practice purchasing processes, benchmarking and reporting with the aim to drive continuous improvement within the segment.ResponsibilitiesLead the PCU segment @100MEUR yearly spendBe the Volvo Host for Mahle @250MEUR yearly spend in Volvo GroupLead and contribute to the development of the segment strategy and purchasing process to support Volvo's strategic objectivesLead the global buyer network and prepare the segment business plan for Volvo GroupLead the cost reduction plan and ensure to meet Volvo objectiveDrive business synergies and share best practices within the Volvo GroupStrengthen Volvo's competitive advantage by understanding the business needs and the supplier marketPrepare and report Key Performance Indicators development to key stakeholdersLead or support large/regional/global sourcing projects or ad-hoc purchases within the segmentThis is youThe most important thing for us is that you have or are:Business acumenStrong in communication and can learn on the flyA flexible person with a can-do attitudeAbility to create a role model for global buyers networkAbility to build strong network within the Volvo GroupAbility to drive supplier relationship in a complex environmentA true team player with the belief that the best results are achieved together while having funWe also believe you have adequate academic education and preferably experience from the area of purchasing with a negotiation background.
