We are now looking for a Segment Architect to support us in our digitalization journey.
Assignment description
Volvo Penta Digital & IT is now looking for a Segment Architect with knowledge and experience from services or service contract management, to drive and act as a Lead Architect for selected initiatives as well as represent the segment in Volvo Penta's Enterprise Architectural network.
The Services management segment typically includes capabilities such as commercial offer documentation, bundling, quotation, billing, and accounting as well as administration and monitoring of services.
Volvo Penta is in a transition phase in the digital journey, developing the business model and breaking it down into IT Capabilities. The impact of North Star architecture, e-Mobility, customer needs, compliance, security, and new business models need to be managed and several new concepts need to be identified and developed within our D&IT solutions to support new ways of working in our line organization as well as in relation to our customers.
As Segment Architect, you will reinforce our already existing team of architects and be an important part of developing Volvo Penta's core capabilities. You will lead the architectural work in your segment, interacting with a set of related solution architects and collaborate with our team of segment architects in adjacent areas as well as teams throughout the Volvo Group to secure the end-to-end solution.
You will be part of a cross-functional team, interacting with architects and business analysts from our stable IT-delivery teams as well as with colleagues from many Volvo Penta departments - Global Parts and Services, Business Unit Industry, Business Unit Marine, Global Operation & Quality and Product Development.
Your role is to identify, and detail needed concepts connected to the IT roadmap and take a leading role in making the concepts become a reality.
To manage this, you need to have proven experience in working with architectural capability mapping, end to end data flows and tactical architectural planning. It is a strong benefit if you have experience from solutions within the service management area, for example from an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Delivery Manager or Solution Leader role.
You will be reporting to the Vice President Core Product Services & Sales to Order.
The assignment is located at Volvo Penta headquarters in Göteborg, Sweden.
Qualifications
Combination of analytical and technical skills together with understanding of business requirements to define a target architecture and contribute in developing process and tool-chain roadmaps
Experience from working with Services Management or Service Contract Management in Volvo Group's or similar business.
Experience in D&IT development working as architect in a global environment.
Experience in agile methodologies is a merit.
