As a Security Engineer at Embark you will be a game maker, building a sustainable foundation for the games we produce.

We believe decisions that might affect security and data integrity decisions happens hundreds of times per day.

Being in the very early stages of building both our infrastructure and our teams it is vital for us to establish a culture where the integrity of our player's data is top of mind for everyone at Embark.

At Embark we believe in creating smaller teams of well-aligned experts that can be trusted to create games and keep them running.

Example of responsibilities

• Help us establish a security-first engineering culture
• Coordinate security and data integrity efforts across Embark, including for example the design of bug bounty programs.
• Architect, design and develop tools to help teams own their own security.
• Review code and perform internal penetration tests
• Be the first response and remediation for security-related incidents and participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate and work closely with fellow software engineers and technical directors

It would be awesome if you have

• A creative and curious mind
• A passion for interactive experiences, games and new technologies
• A solid understanding about distributed systems and experience building them
• A solid understanding about Site Reliability Engineering practices and what it takes to keep services running smoothly around the clock
• The ability to be a great team player with good communication skills
• A good grasp of performance, optimization and data structures
• Professional English communication skills.
