We at the Security team play a critical part of Truecaller's continuous success and mission to build trust everywhere as we handle the overall security in each and every domain of Truecaller. Our vision is to contribute to the development of a state of the art product to our users and push the boundaries of security.
As our Security Operations Lead, you will focus on security from an application perspective as well as from a more traditional parameter defence perspective. It is important that you are comfortable with both practices as they are equally important.
As one of the first members of our team we expect you to mold our function and as we grow and lead additional Security Operation team members in the future.
What do we expect from you
At least three years of experience as DevSecOps engineer or similar role
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar proven skills
You are comfortable with at least one programming language and have foundations with application development
Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines security checks end-to-end, from code commits to production
You understand the cloud shared responsibility model
What will you work on
Develop a culture of inclusion and security awareness across the Truecaller and the engineering teams
Improve and safeguard the platform based on your findings after conducting security assessments, preferably with a big pinch of threat modeling
You will have to dive into the existing code base to find exploits and improve the overall security maturity
Lead penetration tests - and implement the findings
The role will also own certain domains from our ISMS and conduct governance / control to ensure that we comply with the framework
Support engineers in developing secure and great features to our application
It would be great if you also have
You have no issue with switching your mindset from strategic to operational when needed
You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, security won't always come first
