Place of action
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, Aerostructures and services to defense customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Business unit Gripen Brazil within business area Saab Aeronautics is responsible for executing the Gripen Brazil contract, as well as related contracts and for follow-on business in the country. Gripen Brazil is a multi-billion contract with an execution time exceeding ten years, including delivery of a complete weapon system with 36 aircraft, as well as a large content of offset activities, the majority related to technology transfer.We are now looking for a person to fill the position as Security Manager within the business unit.
Your future challenge
In your role as the security manager for Gripen Brazil you will plan, organize and manage security plans and apply the controls and processes necessary. You will be in charge of the Brazilian program security, providing security risk management in close cooperation with the program management team. This role has a strong operational focus in order to quickly set the security framework within the program.
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
Lead and facilitate the implementation and maintenance of program security management systems, instructions, policies, procedures and guidelines, including management reviews and audits.
Manage and lead projects concerning security risk issues, security risk management and strategic security objectives within the program, including leading and educating all program members.
Support and coordinate activities and methods to control and monitor security risks.
Ensure that resources, processes and plans are in place to identify report, manage, investigate and respond to incidents, crisis, emergencies, staff evacuation or repatriation and disasters.
Lead and manage security operations and provide expert support within the program in the day-to day business.
The Security Manager reports to the Head of Business Unit/Program Director Gripen Brazil, but will have a strong and frequent interface to Aeronautics Security department, as well as Saab Corporate Group Security.
The position includes travels national and international.
Today's demands
You have several years of work experience within an operational security role in a government, police, military, public or private security context. You have capability to control several areas of security. Experience of working with information security is a merit. Together with your security background you also have experience and understanding from business processes and management, preferable from the defense industry. You have several years of leadership experience, including staff duties and operational responsibilities. International work experience is an advantage.
You have a solid personality and can act with integrity and credibility in your work. You are also responsive, honest and trustworthy when working with others.
You probably have a degree, or similar education level in social/political/engineering science, law, risk management, business administration, law enforcement, army or other related areas. A formal security training (graduation or certification) or equivalent is required.
Strong working knowledge:
Corporate security and risk management/enterprise risk management.
Business knowledge and organizational skills to oversee highly complex projects with high impact on the business.
Legal aspects, laws, regulations, standards and best practices relating to security.
All aspects of personnel, physical, site and information security management.
Risk and threat assessments
Crime prevention and investigations
Incident and crisis management
Project management, corporate governance and quality management

Cultural awareness and ability to work across cultural barriers
Excellent skills in English and Swedish, verbal as well as in writing are required. Experience in the Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language is an advantage.
You should also be able to pass background screening, security clearance, credit screening, drug tests etc. The service entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship. The position is based in Linköping.
