Join us on a journey where the road is truly more important than the destination. Our guiding star is the better everyday life of the many people and our impetus is our desire for constant renewal. Come help us shape the map of our future by seeing things a little differently.
We now seek security and privacy engineers across multiple security domains that can help us build the future of a digital IKEA. Our ethos is security and privacy by design. We expect security and privacy to be a built-in quality aspect, not a bolted-on property.
WHO YOU ARE
You are genuinely curious about the IKEA business and always strive to understand and contribute to our vision. You always seek the necessary context to take best practices beyond a cliché into sound business practices. You wish to work with the best people in data privacy and security on a multi-national stage.
What you bring to the table:
A passion for working within the cyber security and privacy field.
A genuine interest in investments and mergers and acquisitions.
Understanding/knowledge of technical cyber security technologies and modern security concepts.
Knowledge of European privacy regulation and global privacy and data protection regulatory concepts and trends.
The ability to explain cyber security and privacy risks and threats to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and contextualized manner.
A hands-on proactive approach to delivering high-quality cyber security and privacy advice to investment managers and other stakeholders.
An analytical and data-driven mindset.

Background:
Understanding of cyber security risks, threats, and privacy within the domain of investments, and M&A.
Experience in working with start-ups, scale-ups, VC/PE funds, M&A advisories, and/or investment banks.
Ability to spot cyber security and privacy posture gaps and generate recommendations for improvements.
A strong understanding of how cyber security and privacy risks and threats can impact investments and M&A.
A willingness to learn and contribute to continuously improve processes and drive operations proactively

It is advantageous, but not required, to have:
Privacy and cyber security certifications such as CIPP/x, Security+, etc.
An academic background in computer science/engineering, law, business, finance, or other related areas.

You will have plenty of opportunities to learn and to improve your profile within both security and privacy and you will receive training relevant to your area and for qualifying you in other areas.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
You will be joining the Cyber Engineering Team for the Investments Domain.
Our responsibility is to enable and support our investments teams to systematically work with security and privacy, by operationalizing the IKEA strategy for Security & Privacy by Design. We support the investments teams by translating security and privacy findings in investments and M&A deals into actionable risks and proposed mitigations that they can use to make informed and conscious decisions.
Furthermore, we also support our investments teams by developing a framework for securing IKEA's large and global pool of green energy production assets.
You will be working with the Domain Cyber Engineering Manager, the Cyber Security and Privacy Leader for Investments and with the Digital Due Diligence Manager for carrying out day to day tasks in the domain to provide advice to internal investments teams. Your advice will include, among others, leading one or more cyber security and privacy due diligence streams, drafting pre- and post-closing recommendations, conducting risk assessments, liaising with investment managers and other internal and external stakeholders, and implementing our internal controls framework.
We are a new team within IKEA, and you will have plenty of opportunities to influence the ways of working and help develop best practices. As innovation is a part of the IKEA DNA, we encourage you to think new and create space for you to bring your own innovative ideas to life.
