DESCRIPTION
As a Security Engineer at Sinch, you will help safeguard our cloud and on-premise environments as an integral member of our global security team. Your focus will be on identifying potential risks, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting the security of our infrastructure. You will handle routine security evaluations independently while collaborating with and learning from senior engineers on more complex projects.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and security testing across our products and systems.
Proactively monitor and manage the attack surface across assigned environments, recommending and implementing mitigation strategies.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of robust cloud hardening standards to continuously improve our security posture.
Evaluate, deploy, and manage security tools, providing recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into DevOps processes and contribute to secure design best practices.
Design and implement automation for security processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Participate in architectural reviews to ensure security is deeply embedded in all new infrastructure initiatives.
Analyze emerging security threats and sharing insights and mitigation proposals with senior engineers.
This is a hybrid role based in Sweden, with Kalmar as the preferred location and Stockholm being an option.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Hands-on industry experience in security engineering or a similar role.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies.
Pragmatic and analytical to problem-solving, clear communication, and good organizational skills.
Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty.

Must currently reside in and be eligible for employment in Sweden. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not available for this role.
