As a section manager in Technical Information Services you manage and allocate assignments, evolve the resources and competence within the section, and ensure efficient ways of working within the area of responsibility. The work in the section is carried out both in projects and within the line organization.
You will be involved in our ongoing projects as well as in potential future contracts and in business development.
The responsibility of the Technical Information Services section is to support the development of the maintenance and operator publications for the support systems and training simulators for Gripen, as well as course development and execution.
In addition to the work in the Technical Information Services section you will be a member of the STS management team, and thereby contributing to the development of the general capability of the simulation engineering expertise at STS.
As a section manager you will work on a strategic as well as an operative level, and you will have a wide net of contacts both externally and internally within Saab.
Your profile
We are looking for a driven and inspiring leader with an ability to create commitment and motivation in seeing the bigger picture. You have a genuine interest in and understanding for the technical communication area. You are used to influencing and taking responsibility for the business. You are interested in people and in technology. As a person you have good communication skills and the ability to guide people to work towards a common goal. You also need to be open to new ideas, ready to adopt changes and willing to lead in times of change.
Required skills:
* an academic degree within technology (or equivalent experience)
* Advanced English skills
If you have experience of leadership from roles such as project manager, team leader or line manager, this will be considered an advantage. ILS experience is also a merit. In general, we will attach great importance to your personal characteristics.
The position as section manager at STS includes work with classified defence information, so you will need be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
The department Simulators, Training and Support (STS) is part of Saab Aeronautics' research and development organization. We develop simulators, rigs, and support systems for all product development phases (concept, marketing, development and validation). STS also develops their own products: training simulators for pilots and technicians.
STS works internationally, operating and maintaining large training facilities in Sweden and abroad. With our many years of experience we have acquired extensive competence in simulation engineering, and we have a unique role as a complete supplier throughout the product development cycle. We always work in close cooperation with the aeroplane development and verification projects. In short, working at STS offers great possibilities in developing skills within the discipline of simulation technology.
The section Technical Information Services works within all major projects within STS. The main task is to support the development and maintenance and operator publications for the Gripen support systems and training simulators, as well as course development and execution. The section currently has 8 employees.
