Position Description
Complete Vehicle contributes to deliver Products & Services to all Volvo Group brand customers. In Complete Vehicle we are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. Our engaged teams have a holistic view of the entire truck and bring hands-on truck experience.
The Durability, Driver & Vehicle Productivity section is part of the Feature, Verification and Validation organization within Complete Vehicle. The responsibility of the section is to analyze, verify and validate the Durability, Driver & Vehicle Productivity features for components, systems and trucks. This is done by requirement setting as well as testing and measurements in rigs, on proving grounds and on roads.
The Durability, Driver & Vehicle Productivity features are vital to strengthen our leading position on Heavy Trucks around the globe and is in focus in almost all GTT projects. The section also includes key areas like Competitor Vehicle Analysis and Clinics. In total about 55 engineers organized in five groups belong to this section.
Main tasks
Your man task is to lead the section and deliver start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects according to quality, delivery, cost and feature targets. You are also expected to drive change and create an organization where we actively work to continuously improve, build knowledge and understand customer needs and usage.
In this position you will also be part of the FVV GOT management team, and report to FVV GOT Chief Engineer.
Profile
We are hoping to find you, a section manager who sees that the key to customer success is a passion for developing people, operations and products in meeting future challenges, as we are certain this will contribute to Volvo Trucks' profitability, our environment and most of all our customers' success.
You have leadership experience from management positions within product development and you are known for your integrity and trust, high level of autonomy and initiative, customer focus and good communication skills. Probably, you also have experience from testing, calculations or feature work.
