Introduce new way of working influenced by agile and lean. Due to expansion, we change our management structure, introducing Section Managers. As Section Manager, you will be a key player in our deliveries and continues improvement. You will be a part of Cab management team and together we develop future cabs for the premium products Volvo FH and FM.
Cab Gothenburg develop new and advanced cabs for our future trucks, while continually adapting our current products to different market demands. The development is done with our customers in focus and in a positive and open-minded atmosphere.
Our cab culture is important for us and consist of key words as fun, respect, teamwork, cab family and commitment.
The section is responsible for feature and function development and related analyses for complete Cab. This includes e.g. safety, durability, aerodynamics, ergonomics, visibility, end user function, and functional safety. In actions this means develop feature & function roadmaps for cab, lead the virtual analysis work, establish roadmaps for virtual verification and balance requirements. You will also work together with other site to establish efficient work sharing.
What will you do?
As Section manager within Cab Engineering, you are expected to take the product ownership of your area with a strong customer focus. You will be responsible for both staff, budget, the technical development and way of working within your area, and handle these in a structured way. You will coach and develop your team both in work related issues but also with their professional development.
We want you to be a leader who lead with vision, give directions, and make decision with CAB Got and your team in focus. With this we also see that you have your employees in focus and support them.
Who are you?
As our preferred candidate you have a MSc and/or PhD in Engineering (Mechanics or Physics), earlier leadership experience, earlier knowledge within feature development and analysis, earlier knowledge within any of your responsibility areas (CAE, safety, durability, aerodynamics, ergonomics, visibility, end user function, and functional safety), good knowledge of the product development process within automotive and preferably from car bodies and/or cabs. It is important that you have a positive mindset and are interested in developing people as well as technology. You are also expected to have at least 10 years of experience from the automotive industry.
