ÅF Automotive R&D is expanding and we are now looking for a Section Manager in Trollhättan with focus on Propulsion, Electro Mobility and ADAS/AD. We develop and deliver solutions for vehicles, systems, functions and attributes to customers in the automotive industry all over the world; mainly in Sweden, China, Brazil, US and UK. In the role as Section Manager, you are responsible for your section's activities including growth, profitability, marketing and staff. You are at all times working closely together with your ÅF colleagues.
Your closest colleagues, who also belong to the same management team as you, today consist of eight persons with a common interest in vehicles. The group members all have solid experience of various areas within the automotive industry which at ÅF consist of more than 1600 engineers. The office in Trollhättan mainly focus on larger international projects using our seniority and OEM/Tier 1 experience. We would like to describe the group with three words, brave, together we are brave and make brave decisions, devoted, we have a unique mix of competencies, and are passionate in our areas. Who are you?
The person we are looking for have an academic background (BSc/MSc) being an Manager/Engineer within Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar. You have many years of work experience in development of Automotive Electronics Systems, preferably in different vehicle domains which strengthen the team knowledge. You have already a few years' experience in team management within similar technology area.
To work with sales is a natural part of who you are and to achieve good results motivates you. You feel comfortable in your manager role, and have a coaching style with focus on continuously developing your employees. You are experienced in Recruitment and motivated to find the best and most innovative engineers for your section.
As a person you are a good listener, analytic and take fact based decisions. We also believe that you are a positive and business oriented team player, motivated by creating many and good relationships with customers, peers and colleagues. You speak and write fluent in both Swedish and English.
