Department 94700 Driver Interaction & Infotainment is now looking for a manager for the Connected Infotainment section.
General
The Driver Interaction & Infotainment department is part of the Electrical & Electronics Engineering unit within R&D. The department is responsible for electrical systems and components in the areas of Driver Interaction (Instrument Cluster, Entertainment Displays, Switches, Climate Control,), HMI and Infotainment (Audio, Navigation, Telephony, Bluetooth, Connectivity .). The posting of this position follows upon a reorganisation within the department, aiming at delivering the VCC ambitious plans around HMI and connectivity.
The position
The Connected Infotainment section is responsible for the design and release of components and subsystems within the area. As the section manager you are also the manager for PSS 37x, and will have the full PSS manager responsibilities from research, advanced, core, program and maintenance engineering. The section consists of 4 engineering groups responsible for subsystems (Mobility, Navigation / Entertainment / Speech, Telematics / Connectivity and Tuners / Antennas). For taking full responsibility a testing group delivers analyse and verification for the engineering area.
Your responsibilities as section manager will include:
Deliver the defined advanced engineering and research projects.
Deliver and maintain a SDP (System Development Plan), for future business need.
Together with purchasing yearly deliver CBP:s (Commodity Business Plan), for the components covered by the section.
Handshake deliveries and conditions with the central program office (Vehicle Line) and deliver according to the agreements.
Deliver quality and product cost reduction according the yearly targets.
Drive improvement activities in the group such as the development of virtual development and testing processes and tools.
Define and create the junction between fast moving consumer electronics and vehicle eletronics.
Agree with purchasing the supply base for systems and components.
Ensure that the interface between VCCs and the suppliers development as stated in the Statement Of Work (SOW) conforms to our strategic plans.
General management responsibilities like recruitment, personal and competence development of team members.
Qualifications:
University degree in electrical engineering or similar.
Confirmed managerial and leadership experience.
Detailed understanding of the product development process GPDS (Global Product Development System).
Detailed experience of electrical development starting from function specification, system and component design and verification, both for HW & SW.
Strong team player and relationship builder.
Good practical and theoretical understanding of the area.
Ability to show courage and build confidence.
Experience of working in an international environment.
Master the English language both spoken and in writing.
