At Volvo Group Trucks Technology we are now looking for a business-oriented leader for the role as Section Manager within Service and Parts Assortment Engineering, and we believe this might be you!
Who are we?
Aftermarket Technology (AMT) is a global entity working to maximize the uptime of the vehicles for Volvo Group Trucks brands. Customers' success is our focus.
Active in all R&D activities, we are engaged in future technologies for both vehicles and uptime services. We are focusing on connectivity, digitization and predictive care for our customers. The Service and Parts Engineering team (SPAE) is a newly formed team that likes to have fun and to learn together, and in this team you will be able to work cross-functionally.
We are accountable for the maintainability of the vehicles by influencing the design and the technology choices, we make our vehicles and components easy to maintain, and we improve the vehicle uptime, customers' success and thus the Volvo Group profitability. For each vehicle launched on the market, we deliver Operations and procedures, Spare Parts assortment and information, Repair and Maintenance Solutions, Diagnostic solutions, Special Tools and Standard Times.

What will you work with?
As the Section Manager, you develop leaders and the people to support future challenges contributing to AMT strategic focus and business. You will be responsible for leading and developing Service and Parts Assortment Engineering products, and also to foster an innovative and engaging culture where we attract and retain talents to keep developing future technologies for uptime services.
In this role, you will drive teams' efficiency and effectiveness in close collaboration with the global management team, and drive strategy and continuous improvement together with different functions and stakeholders.
In this position you will be a member of the Service and Parts Assortment Engineering global management team, also be part of the Aftermarket Technology site Gothenburg management team and report to the Director - Service & Parts Assortment Engineering, Aftermarket Technology.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role, we believe you have experience of and knowledge in Volvo Group, especially within technology and/or business. As a person we think that you are highly proactive and responsive to new challenges, with excellent organizational skills like planning, prioritizing, executing and monitoring. If you also have knowledge about our customer usage of our products, we are more than happy!
As a leader, you have a coaching style with a can-do attitude, and you have the capacity to execute against set targets. You are passionate about new technology, and work with simplicity, empowerment and accountability. You have a strong customer focus and a structured, analytical mindset.
Other qualities good to have for this role:
A master's degree in engineering or equivalent
8-10 years significant experience from globally working in product and business development within automotive industry
Previous experience in leading leaders and a curiosity to learn and develop yourself in a global/multi-cultural organization
Ability to manage different requirements and expectations through strong negotiation skills
High level of personal integrity and capability to act as a team player
High autonomy and decisive
Negotiation and networking skills
