EEVC is a local department within Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg, responsible for delivering Electrical and Connectivity solutions for the Volvo brand Heavy Duty range. As the Section Manager for Hardware and Support in Gothenburg you will lead 5 group managers to deliver hardware solutions and to locally support our markets.
You will be an important member in the local EEVC Management Team and you will be reporting to the Chief Engineer for EEVC in Gothenburg.
Main responsibilities are:
Secure project and maintenance deliveries for the teams within your section
Provide skilled resources to project and maintenance activities
Take product ownership for assigned products and in your daily work
Monitor the product quality and cost situation for the products in maintenance and initiate actions
Contribute in harmonization of product development globally
Secure competence development strategy and coach team members on their personal development
Regular communication to the team on performance, strategies and operations
The Electrical and Electronics area will continue to grow in importance in the commercial vehicle industry and in the Volvo Group. We are currently developing very exciting products and will continue to do so in the years to come as we are expanding our business into new segments.

In this position we think that in order to be successful you need to have a strong business mindset always acting with the customer in mind as well as a strong ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master 's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Extensive experience from product development in the truck or car industry
Proven leadership experience
Structured, analytical and holistic mind-set
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
