Who are we?
Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to redefine what it means to own a vehicle during one of most innovative times in the transport industry. Volvo Cars is looking to redefine all aspects of the car eco-system including ownership, autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability and online shopping. User Experience as a discipline which is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and our UX organization are gathering insights about our user's and redefine and elevate the users experience of Volvo's products and Services.
What you'll do
Although the UX department is not organized based on SAFe framwork it's affected by and need to adapt to it as the development teams are following this framework. This position is therefor having similarities with a classic Scrum master but can also be referred to as servant leader or team leader.
In your position you will be coaching the teams towards increasing team maturity, value-flow and taking lead in continuous improvements.
You will keep track of the team's deliveries (backlog), making sure the team progress as planned and that delays and issues are being addressed. You will also support the UX manager in managing the backlog and prioritization and together with the Project leads, who's responsibility is securing overall delivery for each project, provide input on what needs to be done and when. You will work in close collaboration with the UX designers and the team's Design lead and act as a facilitator in various meetings. As our development partners are working with 12 weeks increments you will together with the other scrum masters organize and prepare team planning activities at the same time to secure that dependencies are taken care of.
You and your skills
You are curious, positive, and a true people-person. We believe that you have a strong drive to engage and support teams and people. Your communication should be strong, and you should be able to balance value and different stakeholder. To be successful in this role you need to be open-minded towards new tools, solutions, and maybe most important, other team members. A large part of the work is bringing different technologies and people together into a coherent solution that is well-aligned and highly effective. You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
Familiarity with SAFE, User Experience, software engineering and Jira/Vira is beneficial for the position.
