About the job:
In this position as the Scrum Master you will be accountable for establishing agile delivery methods, by helping everyone understand agile theory and practice, both within the Teams/Hubs and the organization.>
You will also be accountable for the effectiveness of the Analytics Teams/Hubs. This by ensuring smooth collaboration between business product owners, analytics teams, data engineering teams, and the data science team. In this role you will drive the effective execution of sprints, removes obstacles, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in the pursuit of data-driven insights and solutions.
You will lead cross-functional analytics teams planning and delivery events.
This position will report to the IT Director Data & Analytics

Your key responsibilities are:
Agile Process Facilitation:
Lead daily scrums, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure that the team adheres to agile methodologies and continually seeks improvements to processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as a bridge between business product owners and technical teams to ensure alignment on priorities, objectives, and deliverables.
Foster a collaborative environment where open communication and feedback are encouraged.

Team Support & Coaching:
Support the team in self-organizing, making decisions, and executing their tasks.
Mentor and coach team members on best practices, tools, and techniques in agile analytics.

Impediment Removal:
Proactively identify and address roadblocks that may impede the team's progress.
Collaborate with external departments or stakeholders as needed to remove obstacles.

Continuous Improvement:
Champion a culture of iteration and continuous improvement within the analytics teams.
Facilitate regular feedback loops to iterate on and enhance processes and practices.

What you'll need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile methodology certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years as a Scrum Master, preferably within an analytics or data-driven environment.
Demonstrated experience working closely with data teams, including analytics, data engineering, and data science.
Proven track record of successfully implementing agile processes, facilitating sprint cycles, and driving continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge and experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban and DevOps.
Experience in leading project teams in the analytics area
Knowledge and experience of Business Intelligence and analytics systems development, specifically Data Warehouses and ETL/ELT development and to some extent cube modelling and development. Tools like Snowflake, dbt and Matillion are preferred, but not a must.
Analytical skills necessary to translate business needs and consequently design, develop, implement and support complex business intelligence applications, as well as mediating and build connections between people, teams, and stakeholders.
Communication skills necessary to work with users department to identify and diagram application needs, coordinate projects with department personnel and outside vendors.
Ability to learn and apply new technologies as they arise, such as new BI tools, data warehousing techniques, technical administration etc.
