The future belongs to those who are empowered by a great idea and have the ability to carry it out. At Volvo Cars our mission is clear: "To be the world's most progressive and desired premium car company and to make people's life less complicated". We have bold targets when it comes to innovation, sales and customer satisfaction and to make this happen, we need talented people on-board. People that want to make a difference and create the next generation Volvo cars in a global, dynamic and respectful environment. We will support you to reach your full potential. The product stream In-Car Digital is part of the Vehicle Software & Electronics unit within Product & Quality (P&Q). We are responsible for developing the best infotainment system for the "in-car digital experience". The driver and passengers interact with our system via the displays and controls. In-Car Digital is responsible for developing entertainment, navigation, audio, connectivity, driver information and the overall digital user experience. Our vision is to make the car experience better every day. The department is headquartered in Torslanda with operations in Mölndal, Lund, Copenhagen, Shanghai and Mountain View.
We are currently in a big change towards working in agile teams, creating customer value by designing and developing software in-house, but also in cooperation with suppliers. We now want to enforce our team 'In-Car Digital Test Objects' with a Scrum Master that want to be a part of our future journey - with the mission to develop the best possible agile teams. The new organization at Volvo Cars P&Q aligns with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe ®).
The team, In-Car Digital Test Objects, is a highly agile team who is responsible for all test objects within the product stream In-Car Digital. The test objects include small manual test rigs, rack-mounted test automation rigs (HIL) and cars. The team ensures the test objects keep high standards and when needed, we support the development teams in fault tracing. With test automation and continuous integration comes high demands on an always working system, where our team has an important role in operations to minimize down-time of the rigs.
Further, the team manage and perform construction of new test rigs. It includes prototyping, drawings, documentation, purchasing, building and quality-assurance. Since the rigs get more and more complex and are spread globally, it is a challenge to keep track of them. Therefore, the team continuously improve their way of working to ensure the best service.
