For one of our customers in the medical industry we are looking for a reasearch scientist that can join the LO screening team in the Bioscience department.
Startdate for this assignment is 2008-10-01 and it ends 2009-06-30.

Arbetsuppgifter
The LO screening team is responsible for assuring high quality primary and secondary assays and iterative compound screening for projects in the LO phase.

Erfarenhet
The position requires strong theoretical and practical experience in biochemistry, cell biology and/or pharmacology, good computing and data management skills, as well as hands-on screening experience using advanced laboratory automation equipment.
• Demonstrated skills in receptor pharmacology, enzyme kinetics and/or cell biology, both theoretical and practical. Experience with cell-culture is advantageous.
• Experience in compound activity screening of one or more of our major target classes (GPCRs, enzymes and ion channels) using microplate formats and semi- and fully automated systems.
• Experience in analyzing data from compond activity measurement, preferentially using data entry tools including Hbase and IBIS.
• Knowledge about screening process in CVGI Mö is an advantage .
• Good communication skills, both within the group and with the projects
• Positive and goal oriented attitude and independent way of working
• Team player that actively contribute to the common tasks of the group
