As SCM Specialist Professional at Siemens Energy, you will be dedicated to specific customer projects within new production, taking responsibility for transport and logistics from the initial order through to final delivery. You will act as a sub-project lead for freight forwarding, with each project presenting its own requirements in terms of delivery conditions, destination, customs procedures and overall logistics setup.
The role involves extensive collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders. You will be in regular contact with suppliers, freight forwarders, customer representatives and various functions across the organisation. You will also be responsible for the financial aspects of each delivery, including procurement, purchasing and cost monitoring throughout the project.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Planning and coordinating transportation and freight forwarding activities within assigned customer projects
Developing transport strategies and planning deliveries based on the specific requirements of each project
Managing transport procurement, contracts, budgets and cost follow-up
Coordinating with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and internal stakeholders
Preparing transport documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and customer requirements
Managing and resolving transport and delivery-related issues throughout the project
This is a consulting assignment with a planned start in November 2026, running until October 2027.
About you
We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and/or several years of qualified professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, import or export. Experience in international transportation, customs matters and contract management is highly advantageous, as is previous experience in project management or coordinating other resources. You need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP is also considered an advantage.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced and varied project environment with multiple stakeholders. You are organised and able to structure and prioritise your work effectively, even when circumstances change at short notice. As a person, you are self-driven, responsible and communicative, while also being a collaborative team player with a good understanding of customer relationships and cross-functional cooperation.
Key qualifications for the role:
Relevant university degree and/or several years of qualified experience in a relevant field
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Experience in international transportation and project management is considered an advantage
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP is considered an advantage
