To strengthen the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Team of the Business Line Advanced Materials Europe, we are looking for a SCM / S&OP Demand Planning Expert (m/f/d).
Purpose of the role
As a Demand Planning Expert you will be responsible for Demand Planning going into the S&OP process. You coordinate with Sales the unconstrained bottom-up forecast, you provide alternative Forecasts using statistical methods and Macroeconomic forecasting methods and you facilitate the process to build the consensus Forecast.
What you will do
Coordination planning and forecasting routines for the unconstrained Demand FC
Enable an efficient and accurate data entry from sales
Verify and challenge sales input
Consolidate the FC and analysis vs Plan and prior FC
Generate and constantly improve the statistical forecast using historical data
Provide macro-economic FC based on leading economic indicators and drive the continuous improvement process on FC accuracy
Facilitate the process to build the consensus FC in alignment with Sales
Active co-operation in creating the Annual Operating Plan together with Sales and Controlling
Ensure transparent and efficient reporting on the demand plan and FC accuracy
Provide demand planning related analyses as required (e.g. product mix, sales trends, booking status)
Active role in the tool development on the demand planning side, especially the OMP solution for the S&OP process
Ensure proper data maintenance in OMP and other demand FC related tools
The essentials
University degree in Business administration or similar
First experience in demand planning, ideally in the process industry
Strong analytical skills and enthusiasm for quantitative decision analysis
Good communication and influencing abilities in a multinational environment
Competence to translate analysis into messages, recommendations, and actions
Advanced skills in spreadsheet and relational database tools (Excel, PowerBI)
Strong drive for continuous improvement and personal development
Good sense of urgency to find solutions
Excellent level in English is needed
The team
As a member of the SCM team of the Business Line Advanced Materials you will report to VP S&OP Business Line Advanced Materials and work alongside a multinational team of eight. Our purpose is to balance overall demand and supply in the tactical horizon in order to ensure optimal use of our assets.
In your role as a Demand Planning Expert, you will work closely with the Sales team of Business Line Advanced Materials and Supply Chain Management colleagues.
