Anocca AB is a young, fast-moving biotechnology start-up, based in modern facilities in the Biovation Science Park in Södertälje. Anocca has constructed and deployed a technology platform to analyse the T-cell immune system with great precision and depth in a standardised and industrialised manner. This platform underpins a range of advanced cancer therapy and prophylactic vaccine development. We are a motivated group of scientists numbering 45 people from over 20 countries and growing rapidly.
Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated T-cell biologist to join the team. You will be involved in research projects employing cutting edge cellular and molecular biology technologies, and state of the art equipment. The T-cell biologist role at Anocca is suited to motivated scientists with a keen interest in biotechnology and scientific methods. Development opportunities are many, including participation in clinical and translational science, GMP manufacturing and more.
We would expect that you have a PhD working with any aspect of adaptive immunity, but particularly cellular and molecular biology of T-cells. You must have excellent English communication skills, knowledge of relevant research techniques, and have the ability to analyse and summarise data. You must be capable of working as part of a team but also have the initiative to drive projects forward.
Preferred Skills and Background
• PhD in immunology or equivalent relevant experience
• Significant and relevant laboratory experience in T-cell biology with a focus on advanced flow cytometry methods
• Must have experience in primary T-cell assays, growth and manipulation
• Desirable to have experience in advanced molecular biology methodologies
• Goal orientated with a focus on proficiency and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to write documentation
• Fluent written and spoken English
