We are currently looking to recruit a Formulation and Analytical Scientist, reporting to Analytical and Bioassay Service Delivery Manager. This role is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Analytical Team Lead, project managers as well as with other functions within the organisation.
The main duties will include:
• Prepare Study plans and Study reports.
• Report results to clients.
• Design pre-formulation and formulation studies.
• Drug Substance formulation development.
• Protein stability studies.
• Delivery of analytical data using spectroscopic techniques such as Dynamic light scattering, intrinsic/extrinsic fluorescence, A280/A340.
• Delivery of analytical data using chromatographic techniques such as HPLCSEC,
RP-HPLC.
• Delivery of analytical data using gel electrophoresis.
• Close collaboration and proactive interaction within delivery teams and with other operation teams to meet customer requirements.
• Generation of Standard Operating Procedures and Methods.
Qualifications:
• Education, MSc/BSc or equivalent, in Protein, Formulation or Analytical
science, or several years of experience in relevant area.
• Experienced in protein formulation and protein stability.
• Experience in validation/qualification of assays is a merit.
• Experience in validation/qualification of manufacturing process is a merit.
• Applicant should be used to solve assigned tasks independently, to apply scientific methodology to plan studies and to evaluate obtained results.
• Applicant should be able to communicate obtained results.
• Good understanding of laboratory work in a GMP regulated environment.
• English and Swedish language skills.
The individual will be expected to interact at all levels of the organisation and should be able to demonstrate accuracy, responsibility and good communication skills. The
position will be based at the Södertälje site.
