At Anocca we have developed a proprietary, innovative biological platform for high-throughput, systematic interrogation of the human immune system with high precision, which is first aimed at enabling treatment of cancers. With a range of novel capabilities, Anocca is continuing to deploy our proprietary technologies into new areas of research, while also focusing on bringing our first T-cell therapies for cancer to clinical trials using our own manufacturing capabilities.
Job description:
We are looking for a motivated Scientist with critical thinking and innovation mindset to strengthen our Tech development team. You will be involved in research projects employing cutting edge cellular and molecular biology technologies and design of experiments for improving current workflows. This Scientist role at Anocca is suited to early-career or recently graduated scientists with a keen interest in biotechnology, immunology, and synthetic biology. You should already have relevant experience or a doctorate in immunology (especially T-cell biology & molecular immunology), synthetic biology and/or next-generation sequencing.
You must have excellent English communication skills, knowledge of relevant research techniques, and the ability to independently analyse and summarise data. You must be capable of working as part of a team but should also demonstrate initiative to drive projects forward.
Job requirements:
Master degree with >3 years relevant experience or recently graduated PhD in biomedical sciences
Hands-on experience with cell culture, cell-based assays and Flow cytometry
Experience with common DNA techniques such as PCR and next-generation sequencing is considered an advantage
Experience in design, cloning and screening of diversified libraries is considered an advantage
Goal orientated with a focus on proficiency and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment
This position will require strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Fluent written and spoken English
