We are looking for a Scientist or Senior Research Engineer with experience of mRNA with focus on purification, and analysis to join the Viral Vector applications section in the Start-to-Finish department at R&D in Uppsala. The section is focusing on purification and analysis of different viral vectors, plasmids and mRNA in projects with close collaborations with the customers.
What you'll do
As a Scientist/Senior Research Engineer you will be a member of a team performing and coordinating research activities within different projects in R&D from early-stage problem statement to NPI projects, product care and market support, always with the customer in focus.
This role is focused on conducting independent scientific work in projects related to mRNA, especially purification and analysis.
This also includes being involved in method development and method transfer/training within R&D, maintaining instrumentation and infrastructure, creating standard operating procedures.
Who you are
You have a PhD or MSc with similar long experience working within molecular biology, cell biology, RNA biology biochemistry or protein purification of mRNA molecules.
You have worked extensively with protein purification and analysis, e.g. PCR, SDS page and HPLC.
Additional experience of Cytivas product lines, e.g. ÄKTA, Biacore and chromatography resins are considered a merit.
Interaction and communication with colleagues in this role are key and you should enjoy working in a flexible environment and have demonstrated abilities to work in a collaborative and customer focused environment.
Strong presentation and communications skills as well as advanced English and Swedish skills (oral and writing) are also required.
