In this role you will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and analyzing non-US proficiency testing materials for evaluation and ongoing performance. The TS lab in Solna is a recently built lab with a lot of new equipment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Global Product Support, etc. as needed for troubleshooting or investigating cases regarding specimens and clinical results
In this role you will also be in charge of receiving patient samples for discrepant investigation and resolution collaborating with the Technical Support offices to help resolve customer complaints. You will work close to the Failure Investigation team in Solna to quickly investigate escalate and resolve issues with products.
This position reports to a manager within Tech Support in Sunnyvale with a dotted line to Failure Investigations Manager in Solna.
Primary Responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance the TS support lab in Solna.
• Coordinate and perform the hands on proficiency sample testing
• Optimize result reporting of proficiency testing and discrepant specimen
• Design and optimize microbiology lab testing protocols
• Apply analytical problem solving skills to resolve assay issues and maintain detailed experimental records
• Develop and write SOPs and technical reports related to above projects
Required Knowledge - Skills - and Abilities
• Bachelor s degree in Life Science or Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science; or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level,
• 2 to 5 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated proficiencies in routine microbiology lab procedures, with clinical laboratory experience a plus
• Sound knowledge of laboratory safety and biosafety practices
• Good written and oral communication skills and proven interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with cGMP work environment
• Strong competency in data analysis and presentation of laboratory results.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft computer programs and ability to learn other software programs
