We are Pelago Bioscience and we are recruiting an Scientist with experience in cell-based high-throughput screening. Pelago is a specialized Contract Research Organization (CRO) that supports our partners in early drug discovery, offering services in biologically relevant assays. We are known for our Cellular Thermal Shift Assay (CETSA®) and offer a range of customized services, from confirming target engagement to strengthening target validation and understanding the mechanism of action of the compounds.
The company was founded in 2013 and we are headquartered in Stockholm. Today we are about 50 colleagues, but we have an ambition to keep on growing.
About the role
In this role, you will be part of the Navigate HT team, consisting of five colleagues. We work as a team and together we have responsibility for designing and performing library screening projects, a platform used for hit confirmation and lead optimization studies. Typically, a project includes an assay development phase followed by a screening phase. You will be working with different types of compounds for different types of indications so you will get to use all your previous experience and we can guarantee that you will learn more.
We are known for our scientific knowledge and are commonly guiding our customers in what cells to use and always make sure to deliver not only data but also meaningful insights into the results.
Work responsibilities
• Plan, execute, analyze and report project work.
• Operate various liquid handling instruments.
• Design & develop future capabilities for our screening platform.
• Ensure efficient project execution and support colleagues with training and protocol development.
• Working with SOPs and reporting with ELN.
• Internal and external communication .
• Present and utilize scientific literature.

About you
To succeed in this role, we believe you have at least a couple of years of experience working with high- throughput screening applications in a drug discovery setting. Hands-on experience with automation, bulk liquid dispensers, multimode plate readers and the analysis of concentration responses and HTS data is a must. We are keen to further develop our automation capability, and can you contribute with relevant experience from a hardware or software perspective, that would be great.
You are most likely known for being a proactive problem solver with a positive attitude. You are keen on relationships with colleagues as well as customers.
You profile:
• Phd or MSc degree in Molecular or Cell biology with extensive work experience related to cell based high throughput screening.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Analytical thinking
