Sobi is an international pharmaceutical company that focus on finding new orphan drugs. Their main therapies are inflammation, hemophilia and genetically diseases. Sobi R&D's mission is to develop and deliver innovative therapies that improve the lives of patients and their families. The department Biopharmaceuticals R&D is responsible for development of drug substance and drug product for biopharmaceutical proteins. The department contribute to projects through the value chain from preclinical to development and to product support and life-cycle management.
Downstream & Formulation Development (D&FD) is a section within Biopharmaceuticals R&D responsible for downstream process development for production of biopharmaceutical proteins to progress Sobi 's projects through development to market. The section is now looking for a dedicated Scientist for formulation development. In your role your focus will be formulation development of proteins products and substances to progress projects. Work is performed in cross-functional teams in a highly collaborative, experienced and engaged environment.
Your work tasks will be:
• Development of formulations of biopharmaceutical products for clinical development and commercial manufacturing including laboratory work.
• Responsibility for formulation of new candidate drugs in preclinical phase.
• Compiling and documenting formulation work.
• Project work: to plan, perform, evaluate and document experiments with project team.
• Contribute to a high level of scientific and creative work environment.
Qualifications/Practical experience:
• Preferably MSc degree within life science (Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biophysiscs, Biotechnology)
• Good insights in stability and degradation pathways of biopharmaceutical proteins
• Experience of practical laboratory work including aseptic formulation of drugs in preclinical or early clinical phase
• Experience from pharmaceutical industry within area of formulation development, preferably for biologicals is a merit.
• Experience from in vivo work is a merit
• Experience from working according to GLP is a merit
• Fluent in both oral and written English - fluent Swedish is a merit.
