MAX IV is a national large-scale research laboratory providing scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world with instruments for research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. Fully developed it will receive more than 2 000 scientists annually. 200 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory.
Tasks
We are looking for a candidate who can participate in the final design and setup of the luminescence set-up at the FinestBEAMS beamline.
In addition to being part of the group working with design, installation and later commissioning of FinestBEAMS, the candidate will also be responsible for communication with and coordination of the Finnish luminescence community activities at FinestBEAMS. The candidate is also expected to provide help with the installation and commissioning of the beamline and the solid state endstation, whenever needed during the construction process.
Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in Physics/Chemistry or similar area of relevance for the FinestBEAMS beamline Documented experience with luminescence based experimental research Documented experience with instrumentation relevant for luminescence Good knowledge of the (Finnish) luminescence community. Ability to work as part of a team. Good command of English and/or Swedish.
