hela Sverige The R&D group at Expancel is part of the RD&I department and consists of a team of highly motivated and skilled engineers and chemists. The R&D group has the key objective to develop and optimize new and existing expandable microspheres for commercial use in different market segments, to meet customer needs. The development work is conducted in close cooperation with other RD&I groups and functions in the business. Production scale up and implementation in customer processes are also part of the work.
Further key objective is to contribute to the support to market and production departments with sustainability knowledge, product chemistry related knowledge, trouble-shooting and support in polymerization technology and other related production processes.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
• Participate in or lead assigned cross-functional RD&I projects and activities for development and optimization of new and existing products
• Contribute to the survey and communication of relevant external and scientific achievements to the team and management
• Conduct or lead scientific studies and development assignments in the early phases
• Support to Market and Production departments with chemistry related knowledge
• Contribute to continuous improvements of HSE, quality and efficiency
Job Requirements/Profile:
• PhD. in Polymer Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Physical Chemistry
• Experience from product or process development and work in industry is beneficial
• Experience in project work and project management is also beneficial
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both oral and written
